Ride No17 Windermere
Route 1 - 53 miles
Start at crossroads near Mill Side (LA11 6SG) . Lythe Valley, Brigsteer, Underbarrow, Crossthwaite, A5074 to Windermere Ferry. Then Sawrey, Hawkshead, E side of Coniston, Bouth and Finsthwaite to cafe at Lakeside (hilly). There is the option of a direct route from the ferry to Lakeside, via Greythwaite (undulating). Second leg via Canny Hill, Cartmel, Grange, Meathop.
Cafe at Lakeside (Oscars cafe- check if open)...after 37 miles OR National Trust Fell Foot cafe-SE tip of Winderemere
Park and Ride Start Point: Cross Roads at Millside LA11 6SG, if you are not meeting at the Bellflower.
