Longridge - 26 Miles - Will M
On a cold, damp and breezy morning I was expecting a poor turnout but 10ish brave souls were on the cobbles raring to go.
As we
mounted, a message was received that Stuart had punctured on Bowgreave hill on his way in.
Three of us duly diverted to lend assistance - there were enough hands to replace the tyre without the use of levers.
Soon back on the road and round to the Kenlis to re-group. The peloton had gone however - good move really - too cold to hang about.
It all came together at Little Town Dairy with Pip arriving in a heated car. Good to see Pete Hardman again having done a solo ride in.
A leisurely cafe stop was taken in the conservatory before returning as a full group.
From a dodgy start it all came good - the mercury on the low side but the rain stayed away.
