Ride Reports

B2 P&R Staveley - Shane Blackmore
P&R Staveley 39 Miles 3599ft of climbing
Seven club members met at the start for this ride plus Rob Preston who I had brought along.
Having not done this ride before I was looking forward to it although thought I may struggle with a few weeks of not riding.
Leaving the start on time we headed to along Nannypie lane and over the River Kent to Sedgwick and then passing through Natland and then the first climb of the day along Helm Lane.
Passing New Hutton we headed to Grayrigg where we got a little held up with a farmer moving Cattle to avoid any of us falling of at a very slow speed I opted for a short stop in the hope the farmer would have finished moving the cattle unfortunately we caught them up again but they soon turned off.
Once in Staveley we arrived at a very busy Wilf’s café. Martin O decided on visiting the bakery and rejoined us in the café until the proprietor saw he had purchased food elsewhere and promptly kicked him out.
Leaving Staveley we headed south through Crook over a few more lumps to Beck Head and the final climb back to the start.
All in All a incident free day with great company.
