B1 Ride to Stanah by Phil Morgan
The B1's morphed into Sue Taylor 'a brilliantly devised Fylde Coast Rufty Tufty, comprising a tour of many before unridden tracks ( by me) around the Fylde. The long stretches of canal towpath down to the Hand and Dagger were really hard going in glutenous mud. The ride all the way up
Blackpool Prom alongside the turbulent sea whipped up. Yea strong westerly was exhilarating, the cafe stop somewhere near Fleertwood was great ( here we met Sarah Jane Gibson , formerly known as Cherry Scone but now no longer bound by the restrictions of medical ethics- on a Dahon folder having retired home to get a replacement)- plus more mudfest Apres lunch.
I don't think one could come up with a more entertaining ride if they tried)
Sue's little helpers: Michael Birchall Andrew Darnell David Threlfall Keith Oglesby Dave Brook Ian Gibson Sarah Jane , and I almost forgot Paul Whaley sporting a brand new backpack we hadn't seen before
