C Ride to Blackpool by Bob Raftery
Ride Report: Bright an breezy weather greeted 17 riders for todays club ride to Blackpool.
A stiff headwind saw us taking in SandholmeMmill -snaking our way down to the A6 at Bilsborrow -onward to Elswick via Weeton, arriving at Stanley park through the back door.
After a pleasant ride through the nature reserve we arrive at the "ART DECO " café for a well earned alfresco style bite to eat .
Fed and watered
Energy levels restored an alternative route for the return leg was proposed and received favourably ,so a breezy romp down the prom to Cleveleys was enjoyed by all ....
.
Zigzagging our way through Thornton we
soon arrived on familiar ground, joining the cycle track at Mains Lane taking us over Shard bridge onto Bull park lane then continuing down Skitham Lane back to base.
40 plus miles of sun-sea and laughter-
....just what the doctor ordered.
