Nine thrill-seakers huddled under the arches as the rain poured and, in addition to the regulars the group included Karen & Tamzin stepping up from the C ride and guest Paul on his first visit. On the stroke of 9.30 the rain abated and we were off. We took the familiar route through Scorton and the Trough to Whitewell and on to Little Town Dairy for our brew. Food and service were good as ever and the cheery conversation centered mostly on the menopause and testosterone levels! The rain was never far away and rain jackets were on and off at regular intervals. We took a vote on the home route and opted to save the extra climbing for another day and returned via Whitechapel and Claughton. No incidents, no mishaps and no losses from the peloton - just a good ride in good company and good humour. Thanks to all those who turned out.
